On Tuesday evening, September 27, 2022, Fleming Ambulance No. 1 Inc. was recognized by the Central New York Regional Emergency Medical Services Council (REMSCO) as the 2022 CNY EMS Agency of the Year based off of the Agency’s efforts throughout the 2021 calendar year.

Director of Operations Kidd was present at the event, hosted by AMR of CNY, and proudly accepted the award on the Agency’s behalf.

This award reflects the collective effort put forth by all members of the Agency who volunteered countless hours while sacrificing time away from their families to ensure the citizens of Fleming and the surrounding areas did not go without an ambulance when needed.

2021 was a particularly challenging year due to the COVID pandemic, which created a significant increase in call volume, while being a 100% volunteer agency.

Last year was our Agency’s busiest year on record with 657 calls for service that included a large amount of mutual aid to the City of Auburn and surrounding areas.

This award will proudly be displayed in our station as a proud reminder of a job well done, and will serve as motivation to continue providing a high standard of emergency medical care to the citizens of the area.

Also, a special thank you is much deserved to DO Kidd for the hard work he puts in on a daily basis to ensure the success of our Agency!
